Designing and Interpreting Surveys

This programme will cover how to use surveys and statistical analysis to strengthen research using principles of error minimization and survey bias. Topics to be covered should include sampling methods, sample size calculations, questionnaire design, exploratory data plotting, and some descriptive statistical analyses.

Key Objective

  2. Explore various survey methods and the understand the suitability of using each method.
  3. Learn statistical methods and techniques (e.g. sampling methods, calculation of sample size, estimation of population means) and apply knowledge into designing of survey.
  4. Practice using real-world examples.
